I'm trying to study in the library and people aren't being quiet when asked. Where are the quiet spaces to study in the library?

Answer

To minimize noise for the people studying individually, we encourage people who are studying a a group to check out a group study room. Group study rooms are checked out at the circulation desk of the Haas Library. Groups studying together in these spaces can help minimize noise in the library for those who prefer quiet study. A librarian can send someone to quiet people down and then see if we have an enclosed space for them to use if they need to work in a group. You may also want to try studying on the upper floors of the library above the first floor. The first floor tends to generate the most amount of people with the cafe close by to the circulation and reference desks.

Our apologies for this.
